Treatments for mild acne
- Wash the areas affected by acne twice a day ONLY. No
more. To get maximum results, you should use a
mild cleanser. Do not excessively wash, do it twice a
day maximum and DO NOT use hard soap, this will only
irritate acne and make it worse.
- Apply topical gels, solutions, creams and lotions. Many
of these can be bought from your local chemists. We call
these treatments "Over the counter" treatments or OTC for
short.
- Apply "Anti-acne" products, many of these products come
in cream form. You should aim to apply it twice a day and
you SHOULD NOT worry if your skin becomes dry and starts
flaking. This is a sign its work, and will soon go once
your skin gets used to it, usually 2 to 4 weeks.
- If the flaking does get severe you should buy a;
-
- Oil free
- Noncomedogenic
- Nonacnegenic
- Suncreen, these products are good at moisturising your
skin, while not blocking the pores and causing further
outbreaks.
- DO NOT
WORRY IF YOU DON'T SEE RESULTS STRAIGHT
AWAY!It often takes a few
weeks or even months for it to start being really
effective, and any anti-acne treatment that says otherwise
is probably too good to be true i'm afraid

Mild acne.
